Fairbairn College fundraising supports events that bring our school community together. The Annual Box Cart Fundraiser is one of the most exciting and highly anticipated events on the Fairbairn College calendar. This lively tradition brings together learners, staff, and parent volunteers for a morning filled with creativity, friendly competition, and vibrant school spirit.
In the weeks leading up to the event, learners collect sponsorships in support of the school. On the day, the campus comes alive as learners arrive dressed in civvies or according to their class themes, adding colour and enthusiasm to the festivities. Classes take part in the much-anticipated Boxcart races, cheering one another on and celebrating teamwork.
This important fundraiser plays a key role in supporting the maintenance and development of our school facilities, with the school raising approximately R500 000 each year. Prizes are awarded to the classes and individual learners who raise the most funds, recognising their dedication and initiative.
With food stalls run by the School Governing Body and parent volunteers, the Boxcart Fundraiser is a highlight of the year – a celebration of Fairbairn pride, teamwork, and the spirit of giving.
